Katie McClelland

Katie has been practicing law since 2023 and joined Kneupper & Covey in 2025. Katie believes it is imperative that every person be treated fairly under our laws. She is passionate about ensuring that corporations are held accountable when they engage in unethical practices to profit from individuals.
Katie is from Pennsylvania and attended Chatham University in Pittsburgh where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Pre-law minor. During her time at Chatham, Katie was a member of the NCAA softball team.
Katie moved to Georgia to attend Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. She graduated second in her class and was a member of John Marshall’s law journal. Katie has published articles on legalizing sports betting in Georgia and early policies and laws on name, image, and likeness (NIL) in Georgia and its universities. Katie was selected by Professor Elizabeth Jaffe to assist her in writing an article on harmful aspects of social media including filters, algorithms, and anonymous messaging.
Upon graduation Katie clerked in the Superior Court of the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit for Senior Judge, Joe C. Bishop, and Chief Judge, Arthur L. Smith, III. There, she gained a wide range of experience in diverse areas of law.
Outside of work, Katie likes to garden, read, and go to the beach.
