Advocating for customers who are misled by false and inaccurate claims by sellers

Most companies play by the rules. But some don’t. They overhype their products, use smoke and mirror tactics, or just plain falsify “facts” to trick people into buying their products. Kneupper & Covey is committed to exposing these companies and obtaining compensation for the people who have relied on their false promises. If you have fallen victim to shady claims and advertising tactics contact us today for a free evaluation of your case.

Our Team

Cyclone Covey

Cyclone has been practicing law since 2003. He began his career in complex commercial construction litigation at the firm of Griffin, Cochrane, and Marshall in Atlanta, Georgia. In his first two years as an associate he was lead chair in a major commercial arbitration, second chair in a two-week jury trial in Georgia Superior Court, and the attorney selected to brief and argue a major summary judgment case in the First Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2006 Cyclone left Griffin, Cochrane, and Marshall to join his family’s wholesale auto auction business, Verastar. There he served as the company’s General Counsel and Director of Operations until Verastar was sold to Insurance Auto Auctions in 2008. After Verastar’s sale in 2008 Cyclone acted as both an entrepreneur and general counsel for several companies in which he was an investor or founder. This list of companies includes two software companies: Clearwave Corporation (investor, General Counsel) and AgileLaw (co-founder, General Counsel, Product Visionary); a food delivery startup – ClickChefs (co-founder, General Counsel, Chairman); and a counter terrorism consulting company – Valens Global (co-founder, General Counsel). He has also co-founded several other businesses including a video production company and a wine importing company.

Kevin Kneupper

Kevin has been practicing law for more than 15 years, since 2005. He focuses on consumer protection cases, trying to stop businesses from taking advantage of people. That could be anything from false advertising to charging fees they shouldn’t to outright fraud.

After graduating from the University of Texas School of Law, he started out working for a judge in New Orleans, the Honorable Judge James L. Dennis on the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. It was bad timing: Hurricane Katrina hit the city just a few weeks later. But he was able to work as a law clerk on some of the biggest death penalty cases in the country, including one that went all the way to the Supreme Court.

He moved back to Texas in 2007, becoming a principal in a plaintiff’s law firm that was voted one of the “most feared” in the entire country. He focused on high tech cases and patent lawsuits, and was part of the trial team for eight jury trials in multi-million dollar cases. One of them, Versata vs. SAP AG, ended up with a $391 million verdict for his client, Versata. He went toe to toe with some of the best lawyers in the world for some of the biggest companies in the world: Apple, Google, and Oracle, just to name a few.

In 2019, he decided to start a law firm with one of his friends from the Wake Forest college debate team, Cyclone Covey. They decided to focus on cases where they could help average people, instead of just helping one business sue another business. From a class action with tens of thousands of people to helping a single person, they work to find unfair business practices and to stop them.

Anthony Sampson

Anthony Sampson

Anthony Sampson is a litigator who wants to provide consumers with the same caliber of attorney as larger, better-resourced litigants.

Anthony joined Kneupper & Covey in 2023. Anthony is a 2018 graduate of Yale Law School, where he was an Executive Editor of the Yale Law Journal. Prior to joining Kneupper & Covey, Anthony was a law clerk for the Honorable Denise L.
